Labor’s doubling of debt is a ticking time bomb for all Victorians.
This is a wild and reckless spending spree that will place Victorian families under severe financial pressure.
Victorians already doing it tough with cost of living pressures will now be slugged with more than $24,000 in debt per household if Labor is re-elected.
This debt will cost Victorians around $2 billion a year in interest payments alone.
In other words, the interest payments are the equivalent of building two new Royal Children’s Hospitals every year.
Or it could pay for the building of over 100 brand new schools across Victoria.
Make no mistake, this debt will cost every Victorian.
In Tim Pallas’ own words about the debt repayment: ‘we will pay some and our kids will pay more’.
It is clear Daniel Andrews and Labor have lost control of the budget and now they are passing the costs on to Victorians, their children and their grandchildren.
The only way to stop Victorian families being smashed by Labor’s debt is to vote Liberal Nationals.
