Michael O’Brien, Member for Malvern, is calling on young people aged 18 to 25 who are passionate about music to apply for the new FReeZA mentoring and skill development program.
The Victorian Coalition Government, in partnership with youth music organisation The Push, is providing a mentoring program which allows young people to receive advice and support to develop their skills across a range of industry-related areas including performance; technical production; marketing and publicity; event management; or music business.
“This initiative will provide young people with an opportunity to develop their CV, folios and press kits, while also gaining access to industry events and employment opportunities,” Mr O’Brien said.
The Push is part of the Victorian Government’s $2.4 million annual FReeZA program that provides drug, alcohol and smoke free events to young people across the State.
Applications close on 20 November 2012.
