Andrews’ rogue LXRP back at VCAT challenging umpire’s ruling

The Andrews Labor Government, through its Level Crossing Removal Project agency, will today appear at a VCAT hearing where they will be attempting to overturn OVIC’s decision to release a document outlining the government’s thinking on removing the Glenferrie Road, Kooyong and Tooronga Road, Malvern level crossings.

The local community deserves to know what removal options for these crossings have already been considered by the State Government, options the Andrews Labor Government is determined to keep a tightly guarded secret.

Victorians are sick of the lies and coverups and know it’s time for a change in government. A Liberal Nationals Government would deliver accountability and transparency.

Comments attributable to Shadow Minister for Transport Infrastructure, David Davis:

“The community is entitled to see the options and all the options in front of government. These crossing removals have a massive impact on land use and amenity, and local communities are entitled to have a say. It’s wrong for Daniel Andrews to keep these options secret.

“Local community members sought such detailed options from government before the commencement of the Toorak Road level crossing removal and they certainly have a right to now see the options for Glenferrie Road and Tooronga Road. What on earth does Andrews have to hide?”
