Today during Question Time in the Legislative Assembly it was confirmed that the Victorian Parliament is yet to adopt and implement the Service Victoria QR Code.
From the 28th May 2021, Victorian venues and facilities such as hospitality, accommodation, events and community venues are required to use the Victorian Government QR Code Service for record keeping purposes.
In contrast, New South Wales implemented a mandatory QR Code from January 1st 2021 – five months before a similar program is to be adopted in Victoria.
With the Parliament of Victoria remaining open to the public, is it any wonder why businesses and community organisations are struggling with QR code compliance when the Andrews Labor Government can’t even get its own house in order?
