In a further demonstration of the lack of accountability and transparency from the Andrews Labor Government, the release of the number of TAC claims that involve hospitalisation is now EIGHT MONTHS OVERDUE.
The number of claims involving hospitalisation is normally reported and updated on the TAC website every six months, however, the current data is only up to June 30 2019.
Shockingly, the data on the TAC Road Injury Dashboard is even more out of date, with the most recent data available from 2016-17.
The Andrews Labor Government is already ripping $2.9 billion out of the TAC over the next three years, money that should be used to make our roads safer.
The Andrews Labor Government does not have an effective road safety strategy and is withholding this important data from the public.
Comments attributable to Shadow Minister for Road Safety and the TAC, Brad Battin:
“Road safety simply isn’t a priority for Daniel Andrews and Labor.
“Budget cuts to road safety initiatives by the Andrews Labor Government are undermining the safety of Victorians.
“When will Daniel Andrews and Labor take road safety seriously and report data honestly and transparently?”
