Labor withholds secret ministerial briefs

Daniel Andrews and his transport ministers are blocking the release of more secret briefs.

The nine briefs, listed below, are another example of the Andrews Labor Government covering up its mismanagement of the transport portfolios.

The Minister for Public Transport should come clean on the “delivery update on the High Capacity Metro Trains project”, a troubled project approaching three years overdue. Where are these elusive trains and what does the Minister have to hide?

Commuters have a right to know about what the Labor Government has planned for potential fare hikes under its “approved fares policy change” and any other surprises.

The documents Labor refuses to release and which will be subject to VCAT’s determination on Monday are as follows:

  1. Minister for Public Transport, Student access to passes.
  2. Minister for Public Transport, Delivery update on the High Capacity Metro Trains project.
  3. Minister for Public Transport, Recently approved fares policy change and options for announcement.
  4. Minister for Public Transport, Reallocation of project funding for the Melbourne Bus Franchise retender.
  5. Minister for Public Transport, Ministerial briefing about Memorandums of Understanding to be executed for 18 projects approved under the Flexible Local Transport Solutions Program (FLTSP).
  6. Minister for Roads, Ministerial briefing about Memorandums of Understanding to be executed for 6 projects under the Flexible Local Transport Solutions Program (FLTSP).
  7. Minister for Transport Infrastructure, Emergency management arrangements.
  8. Minister for Public Transport, Transport modelling funds.
  9. Minister for Transport Infrastructure, Meeting brief Ministers Allan, Horne and MTR leadership delegation.

Victorians have been let down time and time again when it comes to the Andrews Labor Government’s dodgy deals and coverups.
