The Serrell Street Kinder has played an enormous part in the Malvern East community for 50 years. It was recently announced that Uniting Early Learning is no longer going to manage the kinder, leaving its future up in the air. I have worked with local parents and raised this issue in Parliament because we need to secure the future of Serrell Street Kinder.
Thanks to the efforts of a dedicated parents group, a new provider is set to manage the kindergarten from 2023 and provide high quality care and education for local children. This is a terrific outcome and I congratulate the parents committee for their unwavering determination to keep Serrell St Kinder a part of our community.
